A lot of you know who I am and although I can not physically get to as many matches as I would like that does not mean that the Lions will ever fade from my heart! For as long as I live then Swinton will always be the best rugby league team in the whole of the rugby world. It does not matter whether they win, lose or draw, Indeed I would prefer to think that as the former director Bob Thomas said to me once in the old executive bar at Station Road that I also would rather work for 100 Salford fans than for 1 Swinton fan, I said to him Bob what is your job Bob and he quickly replied I am an undertaker!

Having said that then and on to this season then as an observer from afar I can say that this season is one that will either make or break Swinton as a club and it is my hope that it is the former rather than the latter. A good season on and off the pitch will bring rewards and it should not be too long before we are competing on a level playing field both commercially and otherwise with those imposters in red! Then we will go on to to achieve all those accolades that they have not been able to achieve!
