In last weeks RL Express it stated that Chris Young had been released by Barrow. Does anyone know where he has gone and what chance of getting him back at Town?

Reading this weeks League Weekly I noted a report about the Newcastle Knights chairman supporting the re-signing of a young player after a drugs episode. The name of the chairman being - Rob Tew. Is this the same Rob Tew that coached Town and could he be a good contact for us for a quota player? A stand-off maybe?

I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

i would love to see youngy back in a town shirt, imagine him and stack in the same starting 13.we would have an unstoppable pack.but i just cant see us being able to afford him, with jacko and matty surely coming on big money, and stack must be on a good old amount, then bringing in another big earner would probably be 1 too many.i honestly think a stand off should be our next port of call.i know holt is to come in,but we need either a rotation with him or at the very least a good backup.i see bamber more as back up for kaighan rather than a starting stand off.but you never know, dave might use his magic and bring youngy back to town

I think I read that somewhere as well Arnie but I also seem to re-collect Halifax denying it.

On the Barrow forum Arnie. It was a joke Chris having a joke on Facebook apparently. See the link.
