aye, he's a big loss, but the quarter of a million we got for Zak n Briggsy will come in handy! I think Daryl might have a bob or two now to look for an appropriate replacement if indeed it's identified we actually need one! Step forrad Worthington - you're on stage lad, lets see what you can do!!

Do you really think you'll have received that big a fee for Briggs, Robin? I realise he's a talent, but Bradford will surely have pointed out that they'd have been able to snap him up at the end of the season for nothing? I can't see them forking out anywhere near they reported £100'000 grand that Leeds paid for Hardaker who, at only 17, wouldn't have been a free signing until he was 21.
What I'm looking for is someone who can contribute to what England has given to the world: culture, sophistication, genius. A little bit more than an 'ot dog, know what I mean?

No chance they got 250k for them two. Briggs will have been under 100k, probably between 50-70 k

Whatever Fev got for the two players its just nice to see a superleague club pay out for a change, gone have the days of the 90s
When large tranfers were the morm, getting any sort of fee these days is good for the player(Superleague) and the club (Hard Cash)

Andy W (ps Robin see you at Craven Prk)
It's great supporting the Giant killers.

well I've read with a great deal of interest on other fora speculating on what deals Mark our chairman did on behalf of ur club. I've found it most amusing at times reading the "there's no chance they got that" etc.

Well I'm not prone to bullsh&ttin, never really have been. But, I am confident on the numbers associated with the deals done on these two. If fans of other clubs wish to dispute that, c'est la vie! I'm happy with the deals our chairman has done and the monies hitting the bank account which will have no doubt put a smile on the bank managers face!

loving it!

Well yes, so would I but it's not to be. It's just nice to be in a position where my club for once can flash a bit o' cash to get a decent replacement! I've got over the loss now and looking forrad to the new season! Not be long to CP!!! biggrin.gif
