ffs gaz, hes a centre getting shunted out onto the wing and yesterday got 1 pass and scored 1 try, he got 30mins at fev and got 2 lousy passes.Give the kid a chance please.
He will get a chance of me mate, but he wont get too many more of Marchy i reckon, hes no way near ready for this level at the moment and with no second team hows he going to get game time, to prove he can cut it??! I hope he proves me wrong!

thats a fair comment gaz, lets hope he gets some game time in the rail cup at CENTRE to show what he can do.You could have Offiah and Wendall Sailor on the wings on that postage size pitch and they would be tackled into touch.Been saying it for a long time the touchlines should be taken back a yard either side to what they were 2 to 3 seasons ago, the pitch is too narrow and like last season we play our better rugby away from home.

Very poor yesterday. I know they are still gelling as a team but time is running out, really glad we've got Keighley and Oldham in cup to get it right before Batley.

lets get the thing into perpective, out of the 32 points leeds scored in the 1st half , there was only 1 try that actually went through a pair of hands, the rest were from kicks or scoots from dummy half. The only clean breaks on a rainy lousy afternoon came from us and granted that wasnt many.Im more concerned our forwards didnt bully their pack and im sure if Sullivan, Houston, Chappy and Haughey had have played we,d have won.Only Lowey once again took 2 or 3 to get him down and on the evidence of the 2 friendlies he looks set for a good season, Blakeway can give a decent pass as can Caka but as yet im not convinced about the lad from St Helens though its still early days.

i aint happy but ive seen enough games to know that leeds nicked a few tries y,day and pinched a win, good luck to them . if they had cut us to ribbons with brilliant attacking play then id be more worried. They took every chance that came their way whilst we bombed a few.Id be absolutely mortified though if we went to Mount Pleasant and didnt come away with the points....

I think you'd probably prepare for mortification in that case!

I think the point is that Leeds are a very good and quick team. Being young, they will be fitter and faster than us generally. However, we made a couple of mistakes which gave them 12 points and these happen in some games, but can be eradicated. They also scored three tries from acting half back and while you may concede one like that per game, it shouldn't happen three times. We seemed to lack concentration near our own line but that is a matter for the coaches to sort out. Also, we were held up over the line three times, so the result could have been a lot different all in all. Going back to the Fev game, Harding was terrible in defence, they broke past him 2 or 3 times in the second half without him tackling anybody. However, it is too early to judge and I think the Keighley game will give a better indication what to expect this season. Saying that, ourselves and York must be favourites to drop down but we are better than the TV display last season. There I've said it.

I think it's pretty important now that we put our strongest side out v Keighley, put some decent stuff together and build some confidence ahead of the opener at Oldham. The performance at Featherstone was patchy, and whilst the discipline had improved against Leeds, the ball retention and defence was probably worse - certainly in the first half anyway.
Of the new players, McLocklan has looked promising when he's come on in both games, and I thought Ratcliffe improved things when he came on on Sunday.
I still have no idea what our best centre pairing is (or for that matter, second row either). Be interesting to see what Matt Fox has to offer.
Have to agree with KOL about the touch lines, they were brought in about ten years ago when Plange was in charge and we were struggling with a bunch of kids at the time, surely we can take them out a yard or two again at either side now ??
Also hope we can find some more powerful bulbs for the floodlights, or Sky won't be happy come the Dewsbury game !!

oh and by the way thanks very much for making us welcome yesterday in your bar but did you really need to go the lenghs of flooding the car park to make us feel at home

Haha I told ya were a friendly welcoming bunch at Hunslet. Not only did we flood the car park to make you feel at home we also reserved spaces at the back of the carpark for any York fans bringing their caravans. What more could we do

I hope the game is on in 3D as it would be fantastic to see Woodcock sprinting full pelt into our living rooms
