This rumour was always going to find its way back into circles once Briggs had left..
just a case of putting 2 and 2 together, no chance.
I believe Hemmingway is on trial at Featherstone, possibly training up to be your next stand-off.
Rooney is ours.
Dream on

Pretty sure we heard all this few months ago.
He has just bought a house in the area and is raring to go for next year.
He will be playing against Featherstone next year, not for them.

Hemingway is having a trial match on Saturday although he is not going to be Briggs replacement. More than likely that Andy Kain will be playing 6 with us brining in a new hooker. I would like that to be Bob Beswick if he is available. I can understand people hoping we replace Briggs with Hemingway but I think it is wishful thinking on your part.

To be honest Rooney last year was S***e, totally over rated and his attitude on and off the field was s***e.
Something apparently seen, heard, or sensed, but having no physical reality!

Joshin aside, I saw Rooney 5 times last season. He never had a good game. A lot of that was that he didn't have a fit/quality No7 working with him and he was snuffed out as a threat. But equally, it's evident his head was on another planet.
I wouldn't write him off yet - he's still going to do some damage, but I don't believe he's ever likely to be a target for Fev again. Maybe when he 1st went to Barrow on loan, but not now!

Rooney is not going any where. He's just been made Captain for the Raiders above Broadbent, so the lad is here to stay!

Not mate think he's lazy, great kicking game but otherwise hardly involved.
