Has anybody on here got any Swinton Memorabilia to be used as part of the Lions new Heritage Project.

We are looking for anything that you have no matter how large or how small to be taken to the Salford Civic Centre ( Swinton Town Hall) on Tuesday 18th January 2011.

If you come along to committee room No 4 between 5pm -7pm the Heritage group would like to digital copy or photograph anything you may have, Everyone must have something tucked away somewhere and we would like to see it and add it to the digital collection. We are not asking you to give it away just bring it along and then take it away with you again.

Thanks in advance and lets get the club back on the map !!!

Is the council setting up an area on its website for this project?
Rugby League - great game, shame about the administration.

VERY good point you've made here Phil. Does anybody else agree with Phil's statement?

Yes, Blue Monkey has seen the "SCC" quote.

It's still the TOWN HALL to me and to many others I suspect. Or to give it its full and no doubt officiall name...

Got a ton of scrap books which cover circa 1983 - 1993. Plus very many match programmes, but I'd imagine Ian Jackson and/or Steve Wild would have all those covered. Also got a series of photographs from when they were demolishing the ground stored away somewhere, one of which has me sat on top of the home dugout.

Oooo I do feel old. Nowadays the problem is not being able to carry it all, LOL.

Keith

You were at the meeting on Wednesday when they told you what would happen to all the information collected.
More news will follow when things start moving.

If you can't make this Tuesday it will be carrying on for another 3 weeks, not sure if it is the same venue I'll find out, but the day and time will be the same.

I've got dozens and dozens of programmes from between circa 1957 and 1971, mostly home ones but many important aways too.

For those of you who haven't or even don't know about it The old Facebook site is back up and running operated by non other than Station Roader.

On there you can see the clip for the heritage project along with a list of names of plenty of past players who have joined it names such as Hugh Waddel, Paul Topping and even the great Wayne English.

Join now it's free and there is a target set for 1000 members.
