There's a Wetherspoons pub on Abbey Rd called The Furness Railway which will be open from 9am I think on a Sunday. It's only a few minutes walk from the ground.

The kick off time is definitely Sunday 2pm. There is a Wetherspoons (the Furness Railway) just 10 mins walk from the ground on Abbey Road.

Let it go, Robin! Let it go.
The Ambrose has a variety of guest ales which change on a regular basis. Yes, there are occasional poor ones - always a risk with real ales - but they've had plenty of good ones in there too! You run just as big a risk of encountering a duff pint in a Wetherspoons as much as anywhere else.
Your bad pint experience must have been a Yorkshire ale
