Beaten by a better team end of
Come on, thats just where you were either stood or sat. I sat amongst the Batley few and they were exactly as you described, whinging on every single play... Offside... High tackle.... Offiside...... Knock on..... etc etc etc. However I do think you are right on Penky, he needs to concentrate more on his game than whinging to the ref.
Of the two teams that were out there, the better team won, of that there is absolutely no doubt whatsoever (Batley handled the mountainside much better than halifax), but do try and put it into some perspective.
Players who would start in any game, who were absent:
Ben Black
Bob Beswick
Dillan Nash
Frank Watene
Makaili Aizu
Jim Gannon
John Goddard
Michael Ostick
All quality players in their positions, apart from that the better team on the day won.
I for one actually enjoyed the game and thought it was a really good tough hit out for both team.

Apart from Black and maybe Beswick (is he even a Halifax player these days?), I seriously doubt that the players on that list would have made a scrap of difference to the result, but if you want to try and make excuses then thats fine.

Woosh, you completely missed my point.
I am not making excuses, the better team on the day won and I enjoyed the game.
My point is that when we play each other again (27th February and 26th June) at home or on the side of a mountain (7 August) it will be a different team that you will be facing and with possibly a different outcome.
I for one cant wait for the weather to pick up, the grounds to firm up and the season proper to start..

How nice to be patronised by supporters of big clubs.

Now come on! Let it go! It's too early in the morning to get so annoyed. . . . . and he supports Dewsbury too!

Yeh, its too early
I didnt notice he was a Dewsbury fan. I actually like going to Dewsbury as well and, as a Yorkshire team, I hope they do well, despite him.
If thats patronising, I appologise to all fans of Dewsbury as well.
