It's been confirmed by KH that JC is training with Batley pre-court date. Surely this is a good indication for his willingness to return to the club?

he's been keeping his hand in with some sporadic apperances at Leeds conference side Oulton raiders.
He has most definetly missed the boat with Leigh and a move to a more fashionable club/ Full time SL side will be put back at least a season.

Get him a heavy community penalty and a probation requirement instead of a door peg at Armley and he will be haring through tiring defences again at the mount!

Karl cheers now move on the KEAR IS HERE!

I really hope all is well and he heads back to the Mount for the season. He'll be an excellent addition to strengthen the already strong squad!

THE BULLDOGS!

Very lucky outcome for campbell; one which will allow him to continue his proffessional rugby career, hopefully Jc will calm his temper off the field now and play catch up in regaining the trust and admiration at Batley.

Story here

Great player yes. But do we really need this?
The bloke who JC has hit sounds like his life is ruined.
So what if he called JC a name, be the bigger man and walk away!

I think Jonnie Campbell is a very lucky lad
But where`s the justice here, the poor kid will never live a normal life now
I think JC will have to watch his back when he`s out on the lash from now on he may become a target for revenge

Not condoning drug use but if he had taken a drug in a nightclub he would have been banned from Rugby League for 2 years. Maybe the rugby league should look at a ban for players who are found guilty of assault.
Commentator Sid Waddell - "Cliff Lazarenko's idea of exercise is a firm press on a soda siphon "
Before Keith Dellar's world title triumph in 1983 - "He's not just an underdog, he's an underpuppy."

Have I missed something here? The lad threw 1 punch after being provoked in a pub. It is not like he gave the guy a kicking on the floor. How many of you can honestly say that you have never thrown a punch after being provoked? It was a mistake and one with tragic consequences and one that I'm sure Johnny will have to live for the rest of his days.

I agree with you there but as a fairly high profile sportsman he should have avoided the situation
