The popular side is in desperate need of repair. Are there any plans in hand ?

That is going to be horrendous.

I feel a bit guilty now for bringing up the state of the toilets last week.
But on the other hand you HAVE to wonder where all the p*ss is going...............cos it certainly aint going down the sewer!
But maybe something might get done now before the whole stand falls down into a stinking p*ss filled hole!

An update is pending for the OFFICIAL club site.
This only happened over Christmas so no quotes have not yet been submitted by all the potential bidders.

Craven Park really is falling down
I know we all want a winning Rugby team but something has to be done soon
i just wish i had a magic wand or a bag of cash but i don't have any answers.

What about the one-off payment of £50k which was received from the town council for ground improvements ????

I'm sure there were no conditions attached to the £50K given by the Council but that's it for 10 years. I think the same happened to Barrow soccer.

I'm pretty sure the £50k payment was a one-off payment to replace the annual payments, and was to be used for GROUND IMPROVEMENTS ONLY.

I think your memory may be tainted by an article I did for the paper suggesting that the council ring-fenced both clubs money for ground improvements.
There were no stipulations on its use.

This question was asked several times last year but nobody ever really got a straight answer like I said myself the 50k should of been invested into the development fund and used during the off season just out of interest why not ask some of the supporters to lend a hand with the popular side situation it could or should save a fair few quid on labour at the very least

Come on the supports have been cut down. I think that end will be a hit in the summer.

I agree BP, but the only problem is, as the sun sets we will get further and further away from the bar trying to catch them last rays!!!
C'mon Keith N, get a bar built next to ur shop..

Have you forgotten, it rains a lot in the summer too.
One of the big plusses of Craven park was that it was covered on all 4 sides.
Have to say with the roof gone and clive street crumbling it was looking a bit worse for wear sunday.
Of course when it is occasionally sunny, the sun will be directly in your face at the duke street end which isn't always comfortable to watch the game

Last year the roof was half missing anyway and the area that was missing was always packed. I actually like that being open.
Yes Clive street is letting it down but certainly not Duke street end.
