Has today received a 2 match ban for the incident in the Dewsbury game .

Dane will miss the Cas friendly on Sunday along with the Leigh game , not too bad IMO .

Info provided by Paul Harrison .

I'm pleased for the lad, he looks a great prospect.

Perhaps someone can explain to me?

The RFL website states under Mannings hearing:-

Range of Recommended Sanctions in relation to Charged Grade: 3-5 matches.

Can anyone enlighten me as to how he can possibly get a 2 match suspension? If he is guilty, then surely a 3 - 5 match ban is warranted. If he is not guilty or there is insufficient evidence, then why is he suspended?

It is over 3 weeks since the incident, yet the hearing has taken this long to be sorted out. Usually the disciplinary hearings are the week after the event, why wait this long? He would have been available for the NRC match had the hearing happened in the usual timely manner.

P.S. Good to hear Ernieone is on the mend! All the best.

One player's misfortune is anothers good luck. We have sufficient strength in numbers and quality of players to bring someone in to wear the shirt in his absence. It will be their chance to show they are worthy of retaining it.

RFL probably too busy doing important stuff like checking clubs' standing with HMRC, registering players, assisting SL teams in "development areas" etc to worry about disciplinary hearings.
Things may not improve when the season starts, 'cos then they'll doubtless be spending lots of time checking players' eligibility to play in Cup matches.

Thought you could only count one friendly in the case of bans, otherwise clubs could just arrange friendlies to rid players of bans. That was stopped

Sorry folks, no forecast comp this year
