Shaun Wane has named an exciting young team to face Championship side Barrow on Sunday.

Wane, who will be leading the side, has selected First Team players Lee Mossop, Johnny Walker, Chris Tuson and Josh Charnley, as well as the 6 players recently promoted to train with the first team squad: Matthew Russell, Jack Hughes, Logan Tomkins, Sam Powell, Ryan King and Dom Crosby - who made his first appearance at Salford last weekend.

The game doubles up as Brett McDermott's Testimonial Game and will be Garry Schofield's third games in charge.

Tickets are available at the turnstiles at New Craven Park with the game kicking off at 3pm.

The full squad is: Matthew Russell, Tom Spencer, Kieron Harrison, Jamie Acton, Jack Hughes, Danny Bridge, Johnny Walker, Lee Mossop, Logan Tomkins, Liam Carberry, James Greenwood, Matthew Crow, Dom Crosby, Sam Powell, Chris Tuson, Tom Halsall, Josh Charnley, Ryan King

NEW Craven Park? Are they avin a laff laugh.gif

Seriously, isn't it sad that the people who issue press releases for the Super League clubs know so little about our sport that they can't even get the name of our ground correct? Maybe the Wigan fans will all turn up at Hull KR LOL.

If it wasn't Brett's testimonial game there would be no chance i'd pay a tenner to watch this! I can see this being one way traffic, much like last seasons Huddersfield friendly. Noticed Logan Tomkins is playing, the younger brother of Sam and Joel, and I've heard the best! If so he'll be one to watch!

Josh Charnley was really good at centre for Hull KR last year and chris tuson was on loan at Cas last year but haven't heard of anyone else apart from the ones which have been named. Should of shown us a little bit of repsect and sent a better team.

chris tuson aint a bad player, he went to cas on loan i think and played for wigan after his loan.

tomkins is meant to be really exciting so will be looking forward to seeing him play.

it would be nice to get mossop back for a bit as he was awesome during his short spell with us a couple seasons back.

Mossop is a regular for Wigan tho Bob, can't see him coming back here now. Although yeah would be great he was great for his short spell here.

Nowt like contradicting yourself within the space of a couple of sentences.

We should think ourselves lucky that Wigan are sending any kind of team to play us in a preseason friendly.
I will certainly be there on Sunday and gladly spend my tenner entry plus a couple of quid on the half time draw & a coffee etc.
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

You can't just put half the sentence in bold and ignore the rest of it!

" If it wasn't Brett's testimonial game there would be no chance i'd pay a tenner to watch this "

It is Bretts testimonial game, therefore i will be paying a tenner to watch it.

You may well be in for a surprise. Shaun Wayne is not a loser and that team has some of the best young talent around.

What makes me laugh is, I pay my money to go and support Barrow regardless of who there playing because it's Barrow I want to watch.

You lot make me laugh, you moan about the cost when Barrow play a lesser team. If it's the other team you pay to watch the go watch them. You moan about paying then you want the ground sorting out a winning team and everything that goes with it.

Get real.
