Can a player play for two clubs in the same cup competition ?

My understanding of the rules is no but are there any circumstances when the answer would be yes ?

We've seen examples of teams being expelled or heavily fined from the Challenge Cup in recent years, so I would suggest that is your answer - however I'm sure there's not a once size fits all approach and that each competition organiser will have their own rulings.

Im pretty sure there has been occasions where a player has turned out for one of the armed forces or a student side then featured for his club side in a later round of the challenge cup. This shouldnt happen though.
