Stood next to a group of Bulls supporters in the bar at half time, who were commenting that the rams had done well to keep the bulls out. I felt duty bound to point out to them that the Bulls had done well to keep the Rams out. After the substitutions it became a bit of a capitulation, so while becoming increasingle optimistic about our chances this season, I still feel that we need to bring in some more quality to cover the backs. If only we could get James Walker fit enough to do a full stint ...Excellent display by the rams in the first fifty minutes of the game to be leading 12-10, then the inevitable substitutions kicked in and warren took off nearly all the first half team and put on mostly academy lads for the rest of the game .they performed with great credit but the size power and speed of the bulls was too much for them and the scores came along . it would have been a very interesting finish if warren had decided to leave his established side on .

Personally having to cough up £13 grates somewhat
Then to watch us compete for 50 mins then watch as our under 21`s got a spanking in the last 30 shows we don`t have much strength in depth
But above all the thing that shocked me most today was being mugged £2.80 for a pint

The spirit amongst the side, epitomised by the defensive effort of the first 50 mins, was first class and WJ should be congratulated once more. Our attacking options appeared limited, as might be expected against SL sides, and always seemed to go through Brambini, which must mean that other sides will target him early on. We do need an alternative candidate for the kicking role as well - cut out DB, nobody seems to have a clue.
I won't mention half backs just yet.
Our first competetive run out against CC opponents will be interesting even though there will be few Rams supporters there to witness it.
(As a matter of interest does anyone intend going?

people just started having conversations with their neighbours whilst occasionally glancing at the match. (Now I know what watching RU must be like.)
