The Seattle Force have decided to not participate in the amnrl due to believing that the team they could assemble would not be at the level to compete especially relative to the cost of travelling such distances. Seems a sensible decision and as i argued about developmenst in florida with its 18 million population, seattle's metro area alone has 3.5 million people and the population of the Vancouver–Seattle–Portland corridor is 9 million. Genuine local devlopment has a lot to work with and is maybe the better strategy in such a vast and diverse country. Will be interesting to see how the two 'localised' projects develop relative to eachother and the more 'nationalised' approaches.

Predictions for the future -
Crusaders RL to get a franchise for 2012 onwards -WRONG
Widnes Vikings also to get a franchise - RIGHT
Crusaders RL to do the double over Widnes and finish five places ahead of them -WRONG
Widnes Vikings NOT to dominate rugby league in years to come! STILL TO COME
