Here's my opinion for starters

Heaton

Onyango
Bradbury
Brocky (if available – did play against Hornets, otherwise Williams)
Gillam

N Roden
Diveney

Ellison
Clough
Boults
Wood
Noone
Bentley

Subs
Whitmore
Sutton
Wood-Hulme
Clarke

Not Making it

M Roden
Gilchrist
Williams
Fogarty
Isherwood
Ashe
Mansfield
St Hilaire (if fit)
Woodcock (wherever he may be?)

Struggled for selection of a second centre and went for Brocky (if available) in the end as he is solid/reliable. I think Williams has some work to do on his defence, he got caught sleeping a couple of times yesterday when he was second marker which led to breaks. Young Foggy shows real promise, but in the first game against Hunslet, the March boys are the type who may try to target him so would sit him out for this season opener.

Have been unsure about Diveney, but he went well yesterday and as the man in possession, I think he deserves first crack at it ahead of Ashe.

Gilchrist is probably unlucky to miss out, it was a choice between him and Wood-Hulme and the latter has shown some fantastic go forward which is needed.

Martin Roden sits it out as the other two hookers Clough and Whitty give us more pace out of dummy half.

On bench difficult choice between Isherwood and Clarke, went for Clarke in the end, really based on what he did last year, Isherwood has done OK so far but nothing special in my opinion.

COME ON OLDHAM!!!! COME ON OLDHAM!!!!!

I'd definitely have Gilchrist in at the minute, he's been excellent in the two games I've seen. Sutton and Wood-Hulme(Beast) are certainly in the team and the last forward place would go between Boults or Ellison. At home I'd go for Elly but away I'd chose Boults for his durability and tackling.

I'm not sure about the centres as both Fogarty and Bradbury looked good but I'd like to get some more experience in there especially in the early game sto set the tone for the season. I'd probably have Brocky and Bradbury as you have gone with but any combination I would be happy with. Hopefully St Hilaire and Woodcock have started training so they are available for the start of the league campaign as you could argue they would be our first choice centres.
