Seems a good idea however how many will show up with it being a day after the majority of amateur clubs have played the day before???
A good opportunity!
Does anybody know whose picking the Barrow & District side for Sunday? I would expect whoever it is the respected clubs players would feature heavily, I would therefore be surprised to see anyone from Dalton playing, shame really because I would have liked to have seen Owen Wilkinson having a go against the pros, the few times I have seen this lad play he's really shone.

Richie we were all asked at dalton if we wanted to play however only 2 A teamers came forward. Why would we want to play a day after playing sat also it has been a farce nobody has got together to select a side or train together. I also won't be paying 10 to watch this game. Is it not Bretts sportsman dinner the sat nite too?
I imagine many will be like this. Anyone else see it being off due to lack of numbers???

as far as i am aware local amature clubs have been asked to pick 5 of their best players to come to craven park and play as a team against barrow, i think its so scholfield can se what kind of players he has on his doorstep.
If Schofield wants to see what he has on his doorstep then he should go and watch them play when their hearts are in it and when they have something to play for not when they are just making up a team after playing the day before and having no training time together. Don't tell me this is how they're going to put their reserves side together...flippin joke.

Yes because he has plenty of time to do that, surely inviting the best to come and play is a better option is it not???
Am pretty sure he can spare an hour or so on a Saturday to watch some of the amateur teams play - it's not a big ask. After all isn't that what scouts do - go see players with their regular team? As for inviting the best, I'm with most on here that the best won't turn up due to playing the day before and they haven't trained together.
Anyone know which clubs were invited to send their best?

I full agree with Harpic, its not only Schofied there, others could go an watch an amateur game. It's only a couple of hours on a Saturday afternoon!
