Should be interesting to see what they come up with, could make or break the clubs ability to build its self back up.

These reviews are alright as long as the people doing the review have the ability to make changes if changes are needed and not just mish-mash of ideas or silly mid-season competitions to fill gaps in what should be a full fixture list.

I see they have already included their get out clause. “Whilst there were some definite trends, viewpoints obviously varied in many areas and we even had a few clubs commenting that their board members had conflicting answers, which shows it is going to be impossible to please everyone.
I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

Lets have a quiz Shaw Lad....."Where did the RFL money go?

I would hope it would be a big help for Everyday running of the club?

It could have been used to help pay off "Historical debt" due to HMRC tax repayments?

a long shot this maybe the PLC is buying Whitebank Stadium?

of course there are Player Staff coach and Chief Executive`s Wages?

some could be "Earmarked" for Ground Improvements?

One certainly hopes that it hasn`t Just disappeared to who knows where?

I know its not yet been spent on Floodlight Bulbs?

Have you got Any Other Suggestions or guesses?

Because that is all my quiz is after all, utter speculation!

Seriously I would like to know as well Shaw Lad!

Looks like we have till the end of the 2014 season to improve our facilities to an acceptable level for playing in the Championship. This seems to go along with the dispensation we received initially to provide a five year plan for improvements. Lets hope that we can overcome whatever the stumbling blocks are, and achieve a long and happy future for Pro RL in the town.

How can this be if the new minimum standards of 500 seats and 3000 capacity are to be brought in next season?

Don't know where you have read that. It is probable that will be the case, but the part of the document I was stating my facts on is this:

It is proposed that promotion and relegation between the Championship and Championship One will continue between 2012 and 2014, after which the RFL could also consider promotion and relegation between Championship One and the Conference Leagues, again dependent on clubs meeting minimum standards.

Quoting from the document it says that for entry to the Championship the following are required:- "Ground capacity - 3000, Seats - 500, Lux - 300 (for floodlights)."
It goes on:-" These criteria will be absolute and any club not meeting these would not be eligible for entry regardless of on field performance."

I do not think these requirements are much out of reach, as stated in the other thread. We are not far off on all 3 counts.

Very pleased to hear it S10C. So what is the current capacity, number of seats and Lux reading? We really do want to be in a position to go into the Championship in 2012 if the playing record merits it.
