Just got back from the match and I must say I'm very disappointed with Ryan Esders ok he was sin binned twice today first for fighting but the second for kicking the ball away I can understand him getting annoyed with himself for losing a ball in a tackle but to kick the ball away and get binned for it was stupid no disrespect to Gateshead but had this happened against another championship team playing 20 mins with 12 men will cost us in the long run and you could see by the reactions of Dave Woods that he wasnt to pleased either everyone knows that Ryan is a good player but he's no good if he's gonna be gettin binned for his stupidity.

You are being far too nice to him.
When he was binned for the 2nd time he was the most experienced player on the field.
Not only that,in his disgraceful fit of pique,a bottle was also thrown away as he returned to the dug-out which had been handed to him by a teammate.
What a fine example to the youngsters and great assistance to Benno ; when wanting advice the experienced one ain't on the field.
If that wasn't in a pre-season game and against such opposition, for example Widnes,Featherstone,Leigh, with hostile fans, then there is only going to be one winner and it won't be YCK.
To let yourself and your teammates down is not acceptable.
It will be a long return journey from Barrow and London. The fittest team in the world, without discipline, will not win anything.

A team not converting it's tries won't win anything.

Bad day at the office.Looks like the NRC games have just become additional game time so the side can start to look a little like a professional outfit.

My sympathy to those who had an expensive and time consuming journey to witness it.

Shame on me for thinking someone with experience and a little fire in his belly would make a good captain.I was completely wrong.

So your saying that one man makes a team what is that saying to the other lads saying they crnt hold out for ten mins that is like saying there not good enough to do it the very best of players are sin binned for kicking the ball away and players only fight if they are wound up also I just think ur slaging him of to much i think you need to cut him some slack because everyone throws bottles away in frustration the best of them do it and i think your been to harsh it is his second game for goodness sake wait till he warms up abit he proved that he was a great player wen he came on loan to the club and helped YCK win the play off final he scored some good tries and made some brill tackles so just cause he got sin binned twice dosent make him a bad player !

Two Blues is more than capable of defending himself but I didnt see that he had called Ezo a bad player ?
I was a little disappointed by what I saw today but that won't change the opinion that I have had of Ry since I first saw him playing for the Dockers - that he is one fantastic RL player.
I spent a lot of time on this forum trumpetting Ezo's talents before he ever came to the Knights originally and one incident of teddy out of the cot won't change my thoughts that he is a tremendous asset to our squad in what will not be an easy season.

I agree with andyacko it wont be an easy season but the players dont need to be reading bad things about themselves on forums i personally think that the players need encuragment because they have a really big season ahead of them so come on fans more encuragment and less slagging of :)

Maybe had you of been there today then you would maybe understood what was meant nobody has said he isn't a good player because he is but throwing the teddy out the way he did isn't the right way of doing things and that showed with woody not playing him anymore after his second binning  So get off your high horse and maybe get to a few matches and then have a voice about things.

Complaining no making a point yes if he does stupid things like he did it will cost us long run simple as no he doesn't make a team but he fills a defensive gap if he's not on the pitch more work for the others he let himself down yesterday and the team

Yeah so Ryan made a mistake yesterday, well two mistakes :) Seriously though as long as it isnt a regular thing and Ryan is willing to learn from the mistake and cut it out of his game i cant see a problem. Isnt that why freindlies are played not only for teams to gain fitness and gel but for the individuals to identify and exclude weakness' from their game??

This is the point I'm trying to make he needs to get his head together before the season he's no good to us if he's sitting on the bench 10 mins hear and there each week for something as stupid at kicking a ball away.
