I've got a season ticket for both YCK and Liverpool. I've had both for many years but i'm seriously considering not bothering next season with my Ticket for Anfield as the value for money within the round ball game is just not worth the cost....£750 this season and already been told that another £30 is likely to go onto the cost for 2011/12.
The game is just totally dominated by greed,cheating, scandal and the desire for money, there is no loyalty in the game or a sense of belonging, just look at Fernando Torres, here is a bloke that was earning £120,000 a week and yet when you sat at Anfield you could tell he simply was not interested in playing for the club as his lack of effort and commitment and desire, were lacking in the last 18 months. What really bugs is the fact that your paying nearly £50 a week to watch players like him but get very little back in return, that is something you can't say about a Rugby League player.
Week in week out they are knocked seven bells of ###### around, playing with injuries, but still giving 100% effort and commitment and all this while most are having to work and then do a few sessions a week training.... and all for what? a couple of hundred quid at our level.
Our players in League deserve so much more reward, but what with the countrys public,press and TV's total obsession with the game of football, League is always going to play second fiddle to the over paid prima donnas, i'm sorry to say.
For value for money and pure entertainment you simply can't beat a game of League, it really is the "greatest game", it's very rare you see a poor game of League.
The only real big downside point that League lacks is Atmosphere in the grounds, you can't beat Football for big match noise, if you've ever experienced Anfield,Old Trafford,St James park or even Elland Rd on a big game night in Europe or the League you'll know what I mean, it can make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up and I've never ever felt that at a rugby match.
All in all, you'd hope that League could maybe catch a few fans of football that are fed up and looking for a change that would be fantastic, the clubs and the players deserve more fans through the gates, they also deserve more press inches as well, but most of all they all deserve better wages when judged against there football counterparts, it's a shame there isn't the money in the game to give them it.

The mind boggles with the tranfers of these football players, it would seem that the ordinary supporter of football will have to cough up more money but I feel every body as a limit to what they can afford, I like my sport but there is a limit to what I'll pay and must admit for the first time i've bought a season ticket for the purpose to save money to watch the Knights, but there is noway I would pay the prices that are asked for at football grounds it's obscene the amount these guys get in wages, lets put things into perspective if people who went to a top flight football/rugby match paid £30-£50's at the entrance, or were asked to contribute towards a life saving baby unit then things just don't add up,I know that these days that money is tight but this type of reckless transfers is killing the chance of any average family to watch live sport whatever flavour you like,in the long term the fans won't be there, lets hope common sense prevails.
