I hope some of the players and even the coaching staff are aware of who the ref is this weekend.

It is James Childs who last week reffed the HKR v Salford match. He gave out 27 penalties, 19 to HKR and 8 to Salford, so our players need to be well disciplined even though they will probably be getting quite a bit of provocation. The team that keeps it's discipline and heads will come out winners.

Where is everyone anyhow? There seems to be a total lack of interest in Town if this forum is anything to go by!!!!

Yep totally agree Keith its the usual start of the season penalty fest by the refs, the Huddersfield Vs Saints friendly got 34 penalties!

Any team news would be nie like is Jacko making his long awaited Town debut, Pedley fit or not? Holty to play?

Roll on Sunday

Oh god, not this ######. He absolutely took the ###### out of us against York a few years ago, so much so that even York fans were embarrassed by it.

Hi Keith, there is very little coming from the club to get the fans talking.I go up to training but there is very little there that i can shout about, infact we spend more time on the haven site defending our club than what we do on here, but last year the haven site was full of chat in every topic but this year the haven lads have had very little to sing about but to be fair they give a bit to keep the site going.I really think we need someone like a good pr man who even if he tell's us a few little white lies about signings or whatever just to keep the ball rolling in season and even off season, the fans need someone like that, that can also get things in the star to at least keep that martin morgan a bit more quieter.Ijust hope we beat them on sunday or if not it will be even quieter than it is now. :( :( :(

Troutmaster, my old friend, you are trying to get me going again on a subject that I have often shouted about on here. We are our own worst enemies as a club for we don't go out and sell the club. There should be someone from the club talking to the press every morning about something , anything to whip up interest but all we seem to do is expect people to turn up on the day of a match.

I suggested that the posters that the club use on Facebook be printed for each match distributed around the supermarkets, filling stations, clubs and pubs, etc, but will it happen??? Why can't the club get display boards set up in supermarket foyers with a player every so often. If someone doesn't buy the evening papers, how are they supposed to know if we have a home match or not, particularly if they are ex-fans who want to try to get back in to the fold. It's not rocket science but it does need someone at the club to take the bull by the horns and do these things. The club website is another area that was allowed to fade and I don't know if anyone visits it now or not. Is it up to date? Is this seasons merchandise on there? Maybe our new commercial manager will get things moving. I certainly hope so.

Its a shame we didn't manage a home pre-season friendly as for many fans me included that would have given them a first look at the team and generated a bit more interest I reckon. Anyhow much as I dislike the rec I'll go and support them this weekend and see what we look like.

Boxer that posts on the Haven site likes to post my messages from here on their site but what a pity he chose not to post this one. Maybe some Haven players might have taken note. The team that kept it's discipline the best - won. No doubt the Haven fans, and Mr Cox, will not agree but at the end of the day it is not what they think happened or what we think happened, it's what the man in the middle thinks happened and he gives his opinion with his whistle not writing on forums.

Town should have won even more handsomely than they did and I put it down to lack of match fitness that we didn't. At 18 - 0 up I said to a Haven friend that I was stood with that last season we had a bad habit of getting 12 or more points up and then getting caught and I thought it was going to happen again, although we were never in any danger thanks to Kaighan's 5 penalties in the second half.

I think both teams needed the blow-out and the conditions were not good with a strong cross wind and heavy going especially in the railway end corner. Crowd was given as 1,005.

That crowds bad for a Derby match less than 8 miles apart.
Something apparently seen, heard, or sensed, but having no physical reality!

It was all the refs fault apparently, it must be true cos all the jameaters I know said so. Definitely nothing to do with their ridiculous indiscipline.
