You'll find there having a reality check, what goes round comes round.Just been looking on the Hawks forum and there are some very nervy post on there, several are saying the team is not fit enough player not good enough and there is even talk of teams they will have to beat not teams they WILL beat to stay in the championship, they have targeted the Knights, Dewsbury and Toulouse as must win games think they will find there all must win games there usual Bravado looks to be fading and reality is creeping in.

With the over rated garbage that York have recruited over the last couple of seasons I very much doubt they will win a game this year. Thorman, Esders, Bell?, Lee and at a push Waterman are only players that are capable at this level. The switch made by Danny Ratcliffe suggests that York may not be as an attractive option when survival is at steak and the Demetriou saga further suggests that York simply don't have the quality.
17 points adrift of us last season and no real quality additions for this one. Case closed

I think those 17 points were accumulated before Dave Woods became coach and we took on a decent fitness conditioner, therefore different ball game this year. As for Danny, his mum won't even go and watch him at your place. What does that say? With the over rated garbage that York have recruited over the last couple of seasons I very much doubt they will win a game this year. If you reckon the gap remains the same, I'll have a bet you don't finish 17 points above us this time. And who are the several players that played very little last year? You still lost to Oldham who we stuffed in last years final, with 10 ex-York players from 17!!Your very deluded if you think any of the players you mentioned are Championship quality Simon. We have signed several 'risk players' that have had a nothing years last year for different reasons. However all of them have good pedigree and potential to blossom, admittedly they have the same potential fail miserably.
Aside from all the repetitive banter, Hunslet do appear to have fitness problems but taking into account we have several players that played very little last year and some that have come back from injury this is to be expected to an extent. Without a doubt we have a long hard season ahead of us and are inevitably going to be in a relegation battle.
The reality is so are York and at present, man for man we are stronger and better equipped for the Championship. Rattle on about Dave Woods as much as you like but you were very lucky yo get out of Champ 1 last year and the vast difference between us last year meant you had a lot of catching up to do with regards to recruitment.
Our recruitment has been uninspiring but yours has been inadequate and for that reason I think the gap between the 2 sides remains.

Well yes so would I because the likelihood is that we won't be winning as many games as last year therefore our ability too accumulate 17 points more than you is very limited but I still think we will finish above you in the table. Blakeway, Cakakaka, Barnett and Kelly all played very little rugby last year and yes we did lose to Oldham who yes you did beat in the final and also who we beat 60-4. These past results really have no bearing on success this season. If you reckon the gap remains the same, I'll have a bet you don't finish 17 points above us this time.
