My 17 would be Preece,Brown,Maun,Williams,Reitie,Mennell,Moore,Smith,Handforth,Martin,Manning,Bretherton,Lindsay,Subs Toothill,Hesketh,Toohey and Lythes.
Lythes will probably start with Handforth at stand off but Mennell is too good a player to spend the first 20 minutes of a game sat on the bench.

Any 17 will beat a very poor Hunslet side.
Check out their forum and they were talking about a good chance for the play-offs some weeks ago. i don't know what they're drinking around Hunslet way nowadays but i'm steering well clear of it.

I'm with Trev on this one - I'd pick exactly the same team if all fit.My 17 would be Preece,Brown,Maun,Williams,Reitie,Mennell,Moore,Smith,Handforth,Martin,Manning,Bretherton,Lindsay,Subs Toothill,Hesketh,Toohey and Lythes.

no walton? think the jury is still out on bretherton too..tackles well but hasnt shown much going forward yet..hesketh doesnt look fully fit to me either.very early days though, with the dual reg. lads, flanagan (hopefully) and robinson back soon.good win against the hawks and we're back on.My 17 would be Preece,Brown,Maun,Williams,Reitie,Mennell,Moore,Smith,Handforth,Martin,Manning,Bretherton,Lindsay,Subs Toothill,Hesketh,Toohey and Lythes.
Lythes will probably start with Handforth at stand off but Mennell is too good a player to spend the first 20 minutes of a game sat on the bench.

not saying there were any real stand out performances against leigh, but any 17 that does not include jason walton this sunday will do for me - ive had enough of his woeful defence and non stick hands.
he needs a long hard look at himself after recent performances.
thank goodness Dane Manning is back from suspension.
im going for a dogs win and a much improved display hopefully.

I like Walton, but it needs to be dry any moisture and his catching is poor. His support play is good and I would stick with him if the conditions are right.

Wally has struggled to take the inside ball/ flat ball lately, altough some see the passes as 'hospital balls' and dont want to be on the end of the move anyway.
If a move is going to end up with loss of possession on reacurring occassions than surely in this day and age the Bulldogs can shift things around?

i take it you have only been to the leigh game in 2011 then? hes been poor in pre season as well, when hes on song hes a cracking player, but hasnt done it at all this time, and maybe dropping him might make him buck his ideas up a bit.

Whatever team we play on Sunday, Tootill's got to be in the XVII. Easily our best forward. I assume he was injured for last Sundays game?
What I'm looking for is someone who can contribute to what England has given to the world: culture, sophistication, genius. A little bit more than an 'ot dog, know what I mean?

Agree with you on this Harold, Tootill wasn`t injured last week he was sat infront of us in the stand, he just wasn`t picked, he did warm up as 18th man
i also agree with bulldog trev about Mennel and think he should start so i`d go for
Preece, Brown, Williams, Maun, Rettie, Handford, Mennel, Smith, Lythes, Martin, Bretherton, Manning, Lyndsey, Subs Moore, Hesketh,(Walton or Toohey), Tootill
