Apparently Steve McCormack has decided to give Chris Tyrer a contract for the rest of this season. Nice to see a young player with potential come back into the fold.

With the loss of Ainscough and Sneyd, the obvious position where the squad could do with a bit more strength is centre. Gavin Dodd's better used as a winger - he's not the best defender at centre as exemplified a couple of times against Halifax.
Rugby League - great game, shame about the administration.

The wonders of Lions TV, Ian.

Watch Lee Paterson's 2 tries in the second half to see a classic example of firstly ball watching and losing his man and secondly flying out of the defensive line but not making the tackle. Then a simple case of going too high on Barlow and missing the one-on-one that led to the last Halifax try. Gavin Dodd needs to be on the wing, end of.

Can't go off one game, although they were pretty bad mistakes. And not in front of Foxen or Hurst.

Always judge a book by its cover Phil. Im bored of this forum now, mainly because of you, although opinions are subjective and a right of any member, you never fail to depress and infuriate.

I remember thinking how ridiculous it was last year that Tyrer was getting overlooked in place of PAUL SOUTHERN?! just as he had battled back to fitness and looking like a real good prospect. No wonder he left. Really pleased hes returned and I think we should have kept hold of McClurg for the same reasons(now in Widnes academy i think.)
As for Dodd hes a great centre. A mistake by a threequarter stands out like a mistake by a goalkeeper in footy, one mis step and its a score for your opponents. There isnt much wrong with our team.

Can anybody explain how Tyrer happens to be wearing the NUMBER 38 jersey rather than a lower number, say 28, because they are only numbered up to 27 in the squad list at present? Just seems a bit odd to me.
