Disappointed I cant make it across today (I am recovering from a recent spell in hospital), I have always enjoyed my trips to Worky if very rarely the result - Town are one of the sides in this division Thunder fans have developed an affinity with.

I am hoping we have improved, but we always seem to struggle with the big hairy arsed west cumbrian packs you turn out. I think the 36-12 prediction to Town might not be far away.

Not going to predict the Haven score, but I bet every Sheffield point comes from forward passes and Sheffield are never more than 5m away at the Haven play the ball - at least that is how John Cox sees it.

Hoping to get across for the league game.

well i never seen that coming.awesome from town.stack, kaighan, shacks, patrick were all outstanding.but ginge and coward were superb, both playing there best games for town.and if theres a better player in this league than matty then i would love to see him.because he is excellant, creates so much and everything he does is top drawer, and weve finally found luntys replacement.theres a saying that speed kills and town have that in abundance.excellant from 1-17.

Nice to see today after several years of being on the end of some drubbings and being pretty poor (other than last year). Some outstanding rugby played today, and great to see props and 2nd rowers with some belting passing skills, and kicking skills from Shacks. Incredibly we still had 2 old blokes stood next to us moaning and whinging, and then they left early as they hated seeing us win like that. Some people arent happy unless they are miserable.

You have to laugh at those bitter Haven lot.

Town beat Gateshead 82-0 and according to them it was only because Gateshead are the worst side in RL. They are hailing their result at Sheffield as being wonderful, while conveniently forgetting that Sheffield only beat this "worst side in RL" by 12 points last week.

That lunatic Boxer even thinks that they can beat Halifax next week !

Anyway, well done Town we're certainly going in the right direction. Lets have a big effort at Hunslet next week, that'll be a true measure of our improvement.

We were saying the same thing on the way home, our next 2 matches will give us more of a handle on where we are at the moment. The derby matches can never be taken as an indicator of form and Gateshead were pretty poor (though not taking anything away from our ruthlesness). Cant wait till next sunday to see where were currently stand.

Karl Olstrum had a good game and is coming on in leaps and bounds. If I had to give marks out of 10 for all the Town team they would all have got "9's" today. To score 82 points against any opposition is good going but to also keep them to nil shows that the defence was 100% as well. Another thing that I noticed was that there was much more smiling and togetherness amongst the lads, a very good sign for some hard matches ahead. We even had the choir singing "Happy Birthday" to Jarrad Stack, 22 today, what a prospect he is.

I wouldn't worry too much about what Boxer says. One day he might even go and watch Haven actually play a game!!!

Great news for us. Karl looks a great prospect, runs above his weight at times and has some lovely touches. Doesnt shirk the tackling either, looking forward to seeing how he progresses and hopefully he will have a good impact for us this season.

I was more pleased with the rugby town played today than the final result if you know what i mean. It was good to watch. Well done all concerned! Also looking at what some of the haven fans are writing about their game today i am convinced some of them have lost the plot.
