Really sad news to here of the death of Hunslet legend Brian Shaw. RIP. Only critisism of announcement at match yesterday was that he wasn't part of '65 final as he had already been sold to leeds in '62 I think.

Sorry about that - was trying to gather the information I could as quickly as possible .
Did a wikipedia on him but that info was also incorrect.
Shame as it sounds like he was an absolute legend.

Yes he was a legend. Believe he ran the Tommy Wass pub for a time.
Sorry Simon I was one of the people who gave you duff gen on Sunday, as this was done in a hurry when the news broke. It wasn't till I was on my way home that I realised that as Bernard Prior was part of the transfer deal and played in the 1965 final the transfer must have gone through before then --- to late to issue a correction but from the sound of the microphone you did well to get any annoucements out at all.
