The Sun
Terrible that a Super League club is in this state.
It appears The Sun have taken the story down about Wakefield laying everyone off and this weekends game being in doubt, as it was a load of knackers. Who'd have thought it, The Sun telling porkies.

Two Super League clubs go into administration within a matter of months of each other - Crusaders - November.Wakefield - February.
Doesn't appear as if Super League Licensing and the reason for it,or one of the reasons for it,is working and if the RFL cannot prevent this type of thing happening or are unaware of it,then there has to be doubts as to how the salary cap is policed.

From BBC sport:
The administrators running troubled Super League club
Wakefield have made around 30 staff redundant, but no
players are among the casualties.
A few old Knights may be involved in that - Jimmy Elston,
Beans, Col Sanctuary & John Kain - hope it works out for
all affected.

with the way the club has gone/been run, sacking some of the staff might not be a bad thing

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats come out of administration after
businessman Andrew Glover completes his takeover of the club.
A new company formed by Glover - called Spirit of 1873 - bought
the club for a nominal fee from administrators O'Hara and Company.
A two-man board, comprising Glover and chief executive James Elston,
will run the club alongside new general manager Davide Longo.
John Kear will stay on at Belle Vue as head coach.
