Broncos sack Ivan Henjak
Was only a matter of time once the ponies missed the finals.

So the jungle drums were right. Very surprised they've sacked him 3 weeks before the season starts, so we can only assume there was a fair bit of unrest amongst the players. Interesting that he's got 3 months pay on condition of not saying anything. I'm sure he'll have his say in 3 months time.

Whoever is in charge has a tough job following on from the success that Wayne Bennett had - and the Broncos squad isn't as good as it once was.

I Didn't do it

Henjak gets a 3 month media gag as part of his golden kick up the ass
And the next day the biggest name at the club is in the papers saying how he & the players were.......

Suprised by the sacking !!
Pull the other one Locky

I believe most people over there expect Bennett back?

This bit from that article does somewhat suggest otherwise.

It has been revealed the Broncos board discussed Henjak's position last October, with four of the five directors in favour of sacking him as a result of an unfavourable player review after Brisbane missed the finals for the first time in 19 seasons.

I still think the Broncos biggest problem is the squad itself. It's not as good as it once was, and they're still relying on Darren Lockyer. That won't last much longer.

Anyway, I thought Ricky Stuart was supposed to be taking over in Brisbane. Now that would give Lockyer and co. something to think about!

If anything I can see Bennett getting behind a 2nd BNE team.
Why try & resurrect old glories when you can create new ones

Sticky v Alf + Locky n Co would be hillarious

I'm sure Broncos would do well to lure Bennett back, but he's surely too wily an old bird to go back to a previously successful hunting ground. Onwards and hopefully upwards is a better approach.
Bennett never does what he's supposed to anyway, so he'll probably stay at Dragons!

If Henjack had gotten the bullet earlier, Karmichael Hunt and Israel Folau might still be playing Rugby League.
