Dewsbury Rams are pleased to announce the addition of 21-year-old outside back Ben Bolger to the squad.

Ben joins the club on dual-registration from Harlequins RL, where he made 15 appearances for them in Engage Super League last season. Ben is expected to make his debut for the Rams in this Sunday's Northern Rail Cup match at home to Barrow Raiders, KO 3pm.

Good news.

What's an outside back by the way? Are you sure he came from Quins RL and not the other lot?
Believe what you see, don't see what you believe.

Intersting signing, don't really know much about him,but if he's played 15 times in Super League last year,Quins must think he's got something. Will he travel up here on match days and stop down south during the week,or is he from around here?

He's from Hackney,so a London lad with a bright future,so the Quins website tells us.

Played for the Skolars on Sunday, but presumably Rob Powell think he's too good to be playing in Championship 1.

I'm not too sure myself Johnny, that's why I didn't try to translate it into a more specific position!

Where is 2 Bobs? Injured, suspended or joined another club? Could be all 3!

i only saw him "play" once and he looked knackered
If Bulger has taken 2 Bob`s spot, good on him a young prospect with SL experience will be a valuable addition
When I want your opinion, I will remove the gaffer tape

15 games at SL level mean he must be pretty decent. Guess he might take a centre spot? Hard to believe we need any more forwards.

From what I have seen on the tinternet he has only played in the back row, so why he is described as an outside back is a mystery. Where is Wozza going to fit them all in (or keep them happy) ?

I am going to pinch BSJ's mantle of devils advocate here, but is this move good for team morale. We already have enough forwards to field three seperate packs plus a couple of replacements - all presumably fighting for a spot - and yet we are prepared to bring a dual reg straight into the team. What message does that send out to the likes of Bibb and wilson who have hardly figued this time. Tansey was an awesome signing, good player with pedigree, in a position we needed to fill quickly - but a player who can be recalled anytime (Danny Addy played once) in a position in which we have adequate cover ? Not sure.

I am not party to what injuries we have etc, who knows? Bibb, Roberts what has happened to them? I am sure Warren would not bring a player in if he wasn't needed. As a club we don't have luxury money. I understand what you are saying re Jake Wilson but unless he has improved dramatically I don't think he is up to Championship standard.
