Will that laybay accommodate our thousands of fans!! Seriously though where is the parking for your ground these days?

Our ground wont accommodate thousands of fans.....

Yeah, its the one just beside a little stream. You will get to it as soon as you see the Tesco`s, just after a welders yard. Oh the glamour...

I quite like the way you changed your name to the Centurions to celebrate how close we got to that score that time

For pubs, theres a couple nearby, namely the Waverly or theres a Weatherspoons about 10 minutes away. There is a clubhouse if your wanting a few beers before kick off but Im not sure what time it opens to be honest. Hope you enjoy the day, but not too much obviously.

Thanks all you supporters sending folks to other pubs, you need to think about what happens to the revenue generated by all activities at the club, how about you all start by suggesting to visiting supporters they drink in our club bars, and how about you all go there for a beer as well, as every pint sold helps YOUR club, more folks in the bar helps to generate an atmosphere, so its got to make sense, Tadje.

Hang on a minute. He asked if there were any pubs nearby, so I told him the ones that were. He then asked if there was a clubhouse, so I told him there was. Not sure who your ire is aimed at there but all I did was answer his questions.

DKW did mention our clubs bar but also said he wasnt to sure what time it opens,
so instead of taking a pop at "all us supporters", maybe you could let us know what time its open!!!!!!
Muchas gracias

1 p.m. i think, but better make it 1.30 to be sure, what i am getting at is it might be nice to see not only visiting supporters in our clubs bar but also more home supporters in there, over the years i have witnessed loads of folks having a beer various places as is there want around the town before games, only saying it would have been nice to invite them into the club bar revenue wise, dont know who you are or where you go for a beer before, during or after the game, i for one always attend our club bar at home and on the occasions i go away i try to support the home teams bar if drinking,
i accept you were answering a question but you could have loaded your answer at least in our favour or towards one of our sponsors, you welcome!Tadje

Maybe next time saying that in a sensible and civilised way would be better, rather than piling in and telling us how terrible we all are for simply answering someones question.

Really? I prefer not being told where to drink or what to do thank you. We usually have a few beers from the bar in the shed, we cant have one before in the bar as we just cant get to the ground any earlier. I have never missed a season as a fan since I was 6 or 7 through thick and thin, and thinner so I have put an incredible amount of money into the club over around 30 years as have many others. If you had worded it differently then most would have agreed with your point of view, but to start and end with sly questioning digs at fans was unnecessary.

You seem to be reading loads into this that is not there, was only pointing out what was what etc, time to end this, enjoy the game, and your beer, regards Tadje.

The bar on the popularside always seems to have a good trade during matches.

But back to the subject of this thread. If we need an example to follow London Skolars tonight travelled to France to play Toulouse and went down 34 - 22. That is some performance and hopefully Town can give us a performance to match that.
I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.
