To call on the council to urgently reverse their decision to charge Hunslet Hawks RLFC an additional £5000 for stadium rental at the forthcoming televised home game against Dewsbury Rams on Thursday 31 March. This kind of decision by the council is not welcome & in times of austerity we find it appalling that the Council is trying to make money on the back of a low budget rugby league club given the previous financial assistance offered to larger sporting organisations such as Leeds United & Leeds Rhinos. This kind of decision puts the future of Hunslet Hawks RLFC club at stake.

I've just seen this on the Hunslet message board, and I think all Rugby League fans, whatever their allegiances, should get behind them in petitioning against this disgusting decision. Come on Oldham fans.
