Jordan Thompson from Cas signed on loan for a month,
straight into the squad for Sunday (I spotted it Simon!),
understand that 'month' will include Hunslet A, Sheffield H
and Barrow H, (would also assume Cas won't want him cup-tied).
Seen enough to suggest he will go very, very well
in our league.

Scott Woods gone to Gateshead on loan, also Sam Lynch &
Rhys Clarke in contention to play this Sunday.

Good player is Thompson he won't let you down. Can play full back, wing, centre, stand off and second row. Always gives 100% and is a star for the future imo.

From BBC Sport:

Castleford Tigers back Jordan Thompson has joined York City Knights
on loan for a month.

The 19-year-old centre, who can also play as winger, came through the Tigers'
academy and made 15 Super League appearances in 2010.
Knights coach Dave Woods told BBC Radio York: "He's a bit like Michael Shenton
where he'll ease his way in and once he gets in he'll make a big impact.
"I think he's a star of the future," Woods added.

"He's big and he's strong. He'll be really good for us."
Thompson joined the Knights last season on dual registration but never
played for the club as he began to get opportunities in the first team
at Castleford.

He joins John Davis on loan at York from Castleford and team mate
Nathan Massey who is dual registered.
Woods continued: "Castleford rang us the other day and asked if we'd take him on loan.
"Wakefield wanted him to go there but they weren't keen on sending him to Wakefield.
They wanted him to come to us.

"Jordan's spoken to Nathan Massey and he's really enjoying it, so Jordan wanted to
come to us as well which is great from a player's point of view.
"The two games he played against us in the trials he really did well against us."

Thompson will be available for Sunday's Northern Rail Cup tie against Keighley Cougars.

Seen Jordan play a few times for Cas, the kids got star quality all over him, and I'm sure he's a future England international.
Really excited at this signing, to be honest think this is possible the best player we will have seen at the Knights apart from Jacko and Broughy. The kids got so much abilty, bags of pace and power, can't wait to see him in action, just hope that he performs well and that we might keep him a bit longer.
Looking forward to Sunday.

Should be a good result for both player and club.
Jordan will get vital game time and York should get a quality up and coming youngster with super league experience.

He got into the Cas 1st team squad and played a few games towards the back end of the season. Not sure if he ahs figured for them this season A great signing this one really looking to see what he can do at this level.
Last weeks game should have been well and truely binned by now,so lets get on with this sunday and put in a couple of decent performances before the big one on the 13th March.

He hasnt played for the first time as yet but we have alot of players in the way this season and with Owen, Isa and Mcgoldrick to come in and figure i think this is the best move for him to get some more experience and to play first team. I think it will be made longer than a month to be honest.

Very good signing even for a month, think we may get Jordan for a while as Cas look strong this year, he certainly has some pace and power and hsoudl do well in Championship.

Like how Woodsy is biding his time and making sensible signings, the three Cas lads must be helping some of our more inexperienced players, think the preparation this time round comapred to the last promotion for the 2006 season is much better, let's hope we can pick up a couple of wins early on to boost confidence.

Jordan caused us all sorts of problems when we played them at there's very quick, very strong and dangerous near the line just hope he see's enough of the ball to be the same for us.
