Great last minute win!!
Must have shown lots of courage and resolve to come back from Blacks 77th minute drop goal which could have killed off lesser teams. Fantastic!

Great win, but if Halifax beat Whitehaven next week, as they surely will, that will be the end of Batleys quest to retaining the Northern Rail Cup.... killed off by a bonus point, pity
Fine win for Dewsbury also, but they lose out on points difference

No we are through
As are we.
Still on track for a Heavy Woollen final.
In a way it is sad to see the gap between the CC and CC1 widening with none from the lower league making the knockout stages.
Believe what you see, don't see what you believe.

1st half we were absolutely dominant and possibly should have had more points , held up over the line a couple of times and Rob Worrincy went into self destruct mode and could have easily gifted us 2 further tries . In the 2nd half totally different , started off with a good set of 6 then on numerous occasions gave fax stupid penalties on the 5th
tackle when all the hard work had been done . Fax then got on a roll and were totally on top , in addition Preece was in the sinbin for 10 minutes then later in the game Lythes stupidly got himself sent off think it was for a headbutt on Penky ? Penky and Sam Barlow must be 2 of the most hated players in this league absolute toilets both of them . Danny Jones converted their tries from the touchline and thought it wasnt to be our day when Ben Black lobbed over the drop goal after 2 appaling efforts for a drop from Tiger & Bob Beswick . But with around 1 minute left fax were on our 20 and made an error , we barged up to around 45 metres out from a Tiger dummy , he then went for a quick play the ball and begged for a penalty and got one !! All the pressure was on and he booted it straight over from just inside the Fax half , was a great win but we need to play 80 minutes like the first 40 , we gave away far too many silly penalties and were our own worst enemies at times . All in all though i did not expect us to get anything today so very happy i suppose .

Well done Batley, great win for you guys, nice to see one of the so called 'big boys' getting beat, think you will be dark horses for honours of some form this season, how's Reittie doing ?.
Reittie has been outstanding in virtually every game he has played so far , one of the best if not the best signing we have made ..
