Doesnt sound as though Nath will be fit.
DW definitly has in mind to give Burnsie a run.
Matty G was withdrawn today due to a back niggle.
Got to play Wats next week..

Andy

Just on Wats, what qualities does he bring over Struff and Thompson ?

Couple of other ideas;

What would you think to CT at fullback and play Stampy at halves with Presley, gives CT more of a view of the game and also enables him to ghost into the line without being in the thick of it, might let his kicking game come out a bit more, only one really telling kick today with 5 mins to go, your views /

Belly in 2nd Row with Ezo at 13 ?

Yeah I have had similar thoughts however where does that leave Haynes when fit? I think he was tried in the halves last year and didnt really work?? Thoughts?

If Stampy goes in the Halves and CT at Fullback then play Haynes as Hooker No.2 when Jack needs a rest.

Yeah suppose. I certainly like Haynes at full back as he is brilliant in that position and also not sure Stamp is the standard of a championship half back. Wonder if Stamp will be loaned out this year as DW seems to like Barlow on the bench to give Jack a rest.

Think Haynsey had an MRI scan last Friday on his neck
injury, all waiting for the outcome.

Hopefully fit sooner than later - for me, only one position
for him - No 1 full back, adds a lot to the side at full back.

If not fit, Danny Wilson or Jordan Thompson at full back
for the Hunslet game in my opinion.

Whoever is picked for the cup game, there will be players that will be disappointed to mis-out.

I would rest anyone with a niggling injury, gives a week to recouperate. I would play one or 2 who need game time as they are coming back from injury or have missed previous games, also an opportunity to play a few fringe players, but you have to balance that with consistancy of the main 20 or so players that will be the nucleus of the league team.

My team

1 Lynch (game time)
2 Wilson (un-lucky to miss Keithley game)
3 Bell (game time)
4 Waterman
5 Sutton
6 Presley
7 Barlow (game time)
8 Benson (prefer out & out ball handler at 13)
9 Lee
10 Massey
11 Thompson
12 Davies
13 Struffer

14 Howard /Freer if fit
15 Burns
16 Stamp
17 Clarke (game time)

RL paper today, sounds like Marchy is going to play his
strongest 17 in their cup game as prep for our league game.

Would be good to see DW give young Moley a go on the wing against his old mates.

Right then, will assume no Cas lads, Freer, or Haynsey.
I would completely rest Jack Lee, Jones, CT & JP (too late
to be tampering at half back before the league starts):

1. Wilson
2. Bush/Tuffour
3. Bell
4. Straugheir (40mins only)
5. Sutton
6. Barlow (Captain)
7. Stampy
8. Benno
9. Gray
10. Stearman
11. Garside
12. Clarke
13. Waterman

14. Lewis/Smith
15. Howard
16. Burns
17. Baron

You been watching training, Shades ?. That'slooks a reasonable guess at a half back pairing..
