Been to today's game and it starting to get a normal thing with Ryan he simply can't keep losing his head 10 minutes in the bin yet again for losing his head yet again throwing a punch in front of the ref almost cost us the game we seem to have the game under control up to Ryan getting binned 22-12 up 22-22 with him off the field he can't keep doing this he needs to sort his game out or pointless playing him yet again DW wasn't happy about it proven by him subbing him

I agree Jiggy, on his day a class player but only when his head is right,I thought he was not quite right today, he doesn't look as sharp as last season and to be honest looks like he has put a bit of timber on, when he arrivd from Quinns he looked SL class, today he looked average apart fomr the backing up of Jack and the pass for Staughairs try, however got to say if someone stamped on my hand like that I would have also chinned them.
Think Ryan new what he had done as he trudged off and no doubt Woodsy will have made it very clear what he thinks, much better to get this out of the way in games like this than league games as the liek of Fax, fev and Widenss woudl have ripped us to shreds with a man down.

I put the 3 incidents at Gateshead down to a slapstick comedy routine - When presented with a large area to strike - the Gateshead prop - he managed to miss with a number of efforts. This was followed by the stupid punt stunt, followed by the discarding of the drinks container.
Today, once again without any camouflaging,he throws a punch which can be seen by everyone in the stadium and the futility of it is also witnessed because his target hardly moves or flinches. His legs remain in place and his head hardly moves out of position. He is unhurt, despite the punch connecting.
This is twice - against Championship 1 players/sides - and I don't think either player he has targetted is particularly well-versed in winding-up techniques.Players in The Championship most certainy are and it will be his YCK teammates who will suffer in warmer and more taxing conditions against better opposition.
I didn't see any stamping on his hand but I did see his hand remain on the ground for a long period of time before the opportunity arose for him to play-the-ball but instead he chose the option he took and if the Keighley player wanted to hurt him then the opportunity arose after the punch he took didn't have any affect.
He cannot have my undisputed, undefeated, world heavyweight Mr.Misanthropist title but I may sell him the belt if he can sort himself out and discipline himself because he has the talent as a rugby league player and that is what I pay to watch, and nothing else.
I wish him well should he be given one last opportunity.

Not trying to defend Ryan in any way shape or form. The touch judges flag went up as soon as his hand was stamped on,then Ryan threw the punch. Why wss the keighley player not spoken to,literally not one word said to him.
Ryan seriously needs to control himself though,he is fast proving to be a bit of a liability.Everytime we have had someone in the bin its proved costly. We just cannot afford to be doing this.We will get punished big time in this league.I make it 5 trys we have conceded already this season whilst having a man in the bin.Woodsy needs to sort this as a matter of urgency

TwoBlues,
I hope you are not serious about Ryan is on 'one last opportunity' I saw the stamp and no room for that sort of cheap play in RL and as I say no excuses for retaliation, however we need players of Esders class to be competitive in this league, hope Dave can sort out the disicpline without losing a player of this ability.

Even on viewing the match DVD it is very difficult to pick the foot on Ry's hand ( Chris Baines ) but, on second sight, as I said at the time, very lucky not to see red.

Chris Baines did stand on Ryans hand but, Eszo gotta be more professional and as an one of the more experienced players in the squad should be setting a better example.
They had had a few words a minute or two before and Ryan looked like he was about to see the red mist, which he did, and was maybe lucky the Ref didn't punish him even more with a red card.

Up before disciplinary next Tuesday, 2 charges, Grade B punching
& Grade C dangerous contact. By what's gone on so far this season,
likely to get a decent ban you would think.
Great timing, likely to be without him for 3 or 4 crucial league games.
Nathan Massey got player of the month - very well deserved
for me.
