Did country mile Calland really say this about us live on Radio Leeds ? If so the man should hang his head in shame , he should look in his own back garden with his team full of posing fools . Leahy was as bad for both teams and was no way biased . Calland has proved time and time again that some of his comments really do come back to haunt him , they have had the easiest of groups to get through and havent qualified yet ! Have a look in the mirror Mr Country Mile , i assume Penkywicz and Sam Barlow are 2 fine individuals who never push things to the limit eh ?

I did not here Calland on Radio Leeds so I cannot comment on whether he called Batley " cheats " or not ! However , IF he did utter those words then I would challenge him to repeat those words on Radio Leeds directly to Karl Harrison and see what happens in the subsequent debate. It sounds like he is a bad loser particularly when he gets beaten by little old Batley. People like him in RL should get it through their thick skulls that Batley Bulldogs are not rubbing rags anymore !

Not my favourite side to begin with, but after some of the comments on their message board.

The man is an idiot. If I'd heard that Karl Harrison had taken his players on what was clearly a week long jolly-up to Spain during the week before an important match (not that I think he'd even DREAM of doing that), I'd have been absolutely horrified and made my feelings more than clear. Its bizarre that the Fax fans and board just seem to sit back and accept his bizarre and irrational behaviour. Fine, he took his side to the Grand Final in both 2009 and 2010, but a blindfolded buffalo could have guided those sides to success given the sheer quality of the playing staff at their disposal. They could achieve/have achieved so much more without a jerk in charge.
FWIW, I reckon his bitter rant against us on the radio was simply an attempt to deflect attention from the distinct possibility that his players boozy week long knees-up in Murcia was partly to blame for his sides below-par showing. Surely the Fax board can't be very happy. The fact that it wasn't even an official club trip (players had to pay their own travel and accomadation costs!) makes it even more obvious that not a lot of 'training' can have gone on.
Well done to our guys today, we've got a lot to build on as our coach said. Its great to see that we can go away to the current league champions and turn them over when we still aren't firing on full cylinders, and there could be exciting times ahead.

It will be a long time before either of those clubs get into SL. In fact Halifax FC stand more chance of getting into the football league that 'fax do of getting into SL.

You could be right BSJ - but I suppose we won't know until the RL's plans for the future of the championship are unwrapped after the the consultation process. I believe the posibility of a two division SL has been mentioned, although this is nothing more than rumour/gossip/inuendo,scaremongering - delete where applicable. I might be paranoid, but that doen't mean they haven't got it in for me
