NOTICE TO ALL FORUM MEMBERS - HORNETS FORUM RELAUNCH

Due to repeated complaints received regarding the content of the Hornets section of the TotalRL.com Fans Forum and the persistent abuse of the Terms & Conditions within that section of the forum by a small number of users, to the extent that the club itself will no longer formally link to this forum, it has been decided to shut down and relaunch the forum from scratch.

The forum will be re-opened for posting on Thursday 3rd March 2011 with a new set of rules which will be strictly adhered to by an expanded team of moderators. The new moderating team will include the TotalRL.com Site Administrator and editor of Rugby League World magazine John Drake, plus two further impartial non-club affiliated observers representing TotalRL.com, working alongside the previous moderating team.

To avoid having to intervene in old arguments, the Site Administrator has taken the decision to remove all previously posted content. Everyone will start with a clean slate from the re-opening of the forum.

The hope is this decision will give the forum a new start and a new lease of life for the benefit of new and existing members in the future.

ALL MEMBERS ARE URGED TO FAMILIARISE THEMSELVES WITH THE NEW FORUM RULES, SHOWN BELOW (ALSO PERMANENTLY POSTED IN A SEPERATE THREAD).

League Publications Ltd (LPL) reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time by posting changes here. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of this agreement as modified by the posted changes. The Terms and Conditions are not up for discussion or debate. If these Terms and Conditions are not accepted in full, your use of the site must be terminated immediately.

THE RULES

This forum is open for discussion of the Hornets team and its on-field performances and other general Rugby League related issues. It is not a platform for past, present or future personal disagreements between past, present or future club members, supporters or administrators to be played out in public using anonymous pseudonyms. Any such posts will be removed and the poster(s) permanently suspended. If you wish to make a point about the administration of the club, you must use your real name, either as your permanent username or signature to your posts. You may also be asked to validate your identity by post. The decision of the moderating team will be final.

In addition, the standard Terms & Conditions of Use of the TotalRL.com Fans Forums apply as follows:

You cannot use a free web-based email address to sign up a new account for these forums, such as Hotmail, GMail, Yahoo and other free web services. The reasons for this is some free-mail users tend to sign up for multiple accounts, post spam or otherwise flame/troll threads believing they have complete anonymity. When they are removed (after warnings) they will sign up with a new freemail account and start again. While we appreciate and understand that some users do not have access to a standard email account, we will not make any exceptions to this rule in order to preserve the forums as much as possible for genuine users. We are sorry if this means that you will not be able to join us at this time.

You agree to use the site only for lawful purposes, and in a manner which does not infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of this site by any third party. You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or League Publications Ltd.

These Terms & Conditions apply in full to all communications made on this site, whether in the public forums or via the Private Messaging system.

All contributions must be civil and tasteful.

No disruptive, offensive or abusive behaviour. Contributions must be constructive and polite, not mean-spirited or contributed with the intention of causing trouble.

No unlawful or objectionable content. Unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, racially offensive or otherwise objectionable material is not acceptable.

If you attempt to use multiple logins for the purpose of disrupting the forum or annoying other users, use the personal details of another individual to register one or more accounts, or deliberately swap your username with someone else for the same purpose, your account may be disabled without warning.

No spamming or off-topic material.

No advertising without prior permission.

No inappropriate (e.g. vulgar, offensive etc) user names, or usernames which are an attempt to impersonate another individual.

We reserve the right to issue warnings and/or temporarily/permanently suspend access to all or part of the site if any of the above conditions are infringed.

We reserve the right to request a user to validate their identity by post in order to continue using the forum.
