There are several posts on the Haven site for the past few days saying that if Haven won by 12 or less thern both teams would go through. Everyone thought they were joking but it seems not. ha ha.

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.

Somehow don't think they'll let this one stand with one team just two behind and 72 minutes to play though !!
I'm afraid it'll be another long trip up to West Cumbria on a midweek for Halifax. Pretty poor do really.

"Leigh (rustling of bag) to play Hunslet, Halifax or Whitehaven" ...
followed a bit later by
"Hunslet, Halifax or Whitehaven (rustling of bag) to play Dewsbury" ...
or best of all -
"Hunslet, Halifax or Whitehaven (rustling of bag) to play Hunslet, Halifax or Whitehaven" ... brilliant

It seems they've hastily rearranged it for Wednesday March 16th. Which is going to make next week's live TV draw a right laugh eh ...

Surely they will have to cancel the draw.
