I think that I'm glad there are still referees prepared to submit thyemselves to the tirades of abuse week in week out, just because of their love for the game.
Believe what you see, don't see what you believe.

Who would you prefer instead Coolie? Give us your top three.

Well, I believe a few shekels* change hands, as well - so it's not entirely because of their love for the game.
Leahy did get a tirade of abuse at The Shay on Sunday.
Personally I don't think he had a particularly good game.

* From the RFL, I hasten to add, although there were a few 'Fax fans suggesting otherwise!

fax fans were baying for poor jamie's blood on sunday, claiming mr leahy was in fact a fully paid up member of the Batley supporters association.

Come on/ how many Batley fans are there from Dewsbury, nearly as less as Batley fans from Batley!

Karl cheers now move on the KEAR IS HERE!

As Coolie can't be bothered, I'll go with

1. Steve Presley (went further as a ref - CC Final - than he did as a player)
2. David Asquith ( seen in here on Batley's forum with his hands full: http://www.totalrl.c...14493-memories/)
3. Gareth Hewer ('cos I know he's in your top three)
