Dewsbury Rams half-back Dominic Brambani has been named Player of the Round following his exceptional performance in Sunday’s 16-12 Northern Rail Cup triumph against Barrow Raiders.
The half-backs kicking game was outstanding, scoring six goals from six, and ultimately seeing his team through to the final eight of the Northern Rail Cup and knocking Barrow Raiders out of the competition.
“Dominic is a very skilful player and he’s been in great form recently,” said Dewsbury head coach Warren Jowitt. “We knew going into the Barrow game that we would face a tough challenge and to get the result against a team of Barrow’s calibre was a very pleasing performance.
“It was a big team effort but when you look at the match, it was Dom’s kicking ability that won us the game. He had clear instruction to take two points any time we had an opportunity and that put a lot of pressure on him but he dealt with it and that’s what has seen us through to the next round.
“Dominic can pull a moment of brilliance out of the bag during games and he has the ability to pick us up when we’re getting stuck on the field. He’s the sort of player who can turn a game around in a moment and his kicking display against Barrow was the difference between the sides.”
Brambani will be presented with his award at Dewsbury Rams’ next home game on Saturday March 19 against Toulouse Olympique.

Dom was an exceptional player at Sheffield, and could have gone for the money when he came back from Australia
Perhaps he likes playing for us
Or have you heared otherwise
Comments like that only fan the flames

Good player but it only highlights the Rams as a "One trick pony"

What a dumbass troll you are Piggy.
Although i agree to some extent, England should have been player of the round also.

Well I'm not saying dom is disloyal or that anyone is currently tapping him up
What I'm suggesting is that he keeps playing this well and a super league side might take a punt on him. And theirs fev who seem to snap our better players up each year.
