I would have loved to have seen him playing for us this season. Excellent ball handler and also kicker.

I can understand why he's quit the game. Maybe though he might be interested in a part time role ;)

Might be worth a call!

There might be a chance of re-signing him if his job in the oil industry is in the refinery side of things (i.e. Stanlow) and allows him to be based locally and work regular hours, but part time pro rugby league wouldn't be compatible with a night shift job or a role in the exploration side of the oil industry as that would mean a base off shore / in the Aberdeen area / further afield.

Understandable for him to concentrate on a lucrative day job that will sustain an income well beyond the likely shelf life of a rugby league career. Fact of life that our game doesn't offer the sort of money that means the bulk of professional footballers nowadays never have to work after they quit the scene. Especially outside Super League it cannot be denied that players need to look after their "other" career too.

Perhaps you could strike oil somewhere locally Paul?

At least Martin Ainscough is a good replacement.

Rugby League - great game, shame about the administration.

If I stuck oil, no offence to Craig Harvey but meaning he could sign for Swinton wouldn't be the first thing on my mind!
