Perhaps we need a few more "whats the best try you have ever seen' - that should get the juices going.
Long live censorship!

Do you miss the sort of stuff that was going on before the change in T&Cs? I don't.

There is absolutely no censorship on this site as long as you post within the T&Cs.
Do you miss the sort of stuff that was going on before the change in T&Cs? I don't.
Pugwash.
You are missing the point - the new T&Cs ARE censorship - they limit what is allowed to be discussed not simply how things are discussed.
Libya is a wonderful place IF you accept Gaddafi's T&Cs!

You really aren't going to try and say that this forum is like Libya are you?
The last forum was rife with people calling names and asserting that people were liars etc. That cannot be allowed to take place in modern society. Mike Banks was called a liar by people who didn't know him and probably never met him but it suited their agenda. The stuff that Mark Wynn has had to ignore is tantamount to abuse and if he'd cared to he could have taken legal action against the people spreading this stuff or even against this forum.
Life is all about rules and we have to obey them or face the consequences, I'd love to go into Barlcays on Monday and tell the guy to give me all the money but that's against the law.
The only change to the previous T&Cs is that if you want to take a swipe at the administration you have to say who you are, if you want to remain anonymous then stay off that subject.

WHY? IS THAT AGAINST THE RULES?
The last forum was rife with people calling names and asserting that people were liars etc. That cannot be allowed to take place in modern society.
YES I WAS CALLED SEVERAL NAMES ON DIFFERENT OCCASIONS BY MAD MAL (MORON WAS ONE I RECALL) AND OTHERS.
The only change to the previous T&Cs is that if you want to take a swipe at the administration you have to say who you are, if you want to remain anonymous then stay off that subject.
WRONG, INACCURATE (NOTE I HAVEN'T USED THE WORD LIAR - BUT I THINK YOU ARE MISTAKEN HERE). TOPICS HAVE BEEN REMOVED THAT HAVE NOT BEEN TAKING A SWIPE AT THE ADMINISTRATION. SO SOMEONE HAS BEEN APPLYING THE RULES SOMEWHAT OVER ENTHUSIASTICALLY. AND OF COURSE UNLIKE THE RULES THAT YOU SAY WE ALL HAVE TO COMPLY WITH IN SOCIETY, THESE RULES WERE NOT DETERMINED THROUGH SOME OPEN PROCESS BUT IMPOSED IN A DICTATORIAL WAY.
ANYONE FEELING THAT THEY HAVE BEEN LIBELLED ON THE SITE ALWAYS HAVE THE RIGHT TO PURSUE THAT THROUGH THE USUAL CHANNELS. THEY CAN IDENTIFY THE INDIVIDUAL THEY WISH TO PURSUE THROUGH THE IP ADDRESS. THOSE ARE SOCIETY'S RULES. IT APPEARS THAT SOME PEOPLE BELIVE THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO IMPOSE ADDITIONAL RULES OF THEIR OWN LIKING.
I GUESS THIS THREAD WILL SOON BE LOCKED BY SOMEONE WHO DECIDES WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DISCUSS THIS.

go and watch somebody else like Dale, who have several Luddites on their Forum
What exactly has this got to do with 'Rugby League'?
Yet another excuse to snipe at RAFC and it's supporters when they are nothing to do with the original topic. One would hope a moderator takes action according to the new t&c's.

Perhaps you people would rather just not have anywhere to have a voice at all.

Yes, me.
I'm the Site Admin, acting on behalf of the site owners, League Publications Ltd. We have no connection to the Rochdale club, past or present, whatsoever, other than having inherited this forum as part of the merger between rugbyleague.org and TotalRL.com.
The 'old' forum was just full of people slagging each other off using pseudonyms. To an outsider, like me, it just looked ridiculous and embarrassing.
The new rules were imposed by me, as an alternative to shutting this section of the forum down altogether.
If no one wants to talk about Rugby League in Rochdale on here now, that's nothing to do with the rules. It's a shame if all anyone wants to do on here is slag people off using pseudonyms though.
If you don't accept the rules, don't use the forum. It's that simple. Set up your own forum if you like, and you can post what you like, when you like about who you like, and deal with all the fallout from that yourself too. No one's stopping you, least of all me.
Bye.
