If we had played in the first half then i agree we would have won, but to not get into their 30 meter area until the 32 min was not good at all.Yet again we gave the opposition an easy lead and played like total strangers no one seemed to want to take the ball up,no organisation on the defence.
Then in the second half we started to play a bit,and made good yards and scored what was the best try of the game. But we need to start playing for 80 mins otherwise it will be a long season.

Success does not consists in never making blunders, but in never making the same one the second time.

Another shocking injury in yesterday's training, the name evades me at the moment but apparently his leg is broken and it sounds very bad.
Hornets were poor in the fist half with the exception of the defence from minute 17 until minute 35. We kept 'em scoreless and did make some headway up th' 'ill.
In the second half they played like men possessed, and it ended up 6 tries to 4 and they lost the second half 12-22. A lot of teams will go to 'Haven this season and wish they were going away with a Bonus Point I'll be bound.
Must mention the guy in front of us who never stopped screaming for men to be sent off for off side and forward passes, he also tried to get someone to laugh at his shouting of 'Wing-nut' when Houghy came on and "you're caravan's on fire" when Pyke came on. And to think they said comedy was dead?!?!
Still had a very nice pint of Jenning's in the bar and I can vouch for Buzzybee, we could hear her from about 50 yards away.
I wonder if Stanky might consider giving his half-time talk before the start next week?
Well done lads.

Well done? For what losing, or a good performance and losing?

Gaz Hayes sustained a very serious injury in a freak training accident on Saturday morning. Today three more players picked up injuries to add to the growing list. I think the total now stands at around 15 players with varying degrees of injury that have kept them out of selection? I just hope some make it back to training and some kind of fitness this coming week?

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth

Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things

There were some truly awful tants to the players and
a lot of effing and jeffing from another 3 in front of us
Did seem to get worse the latter end of the game when it looked
like we could be still in with a chance

Obviously playing down the slope was an advantage, and we started off badly by conceding 2 penaltys and 2 tries almost immediately. 18 points behind at half time cost us the game. A win would have been very sweet indeed, and we never stopped trying throughout the second half and were on top at the final hooter.Well played lads.

Got to agree with Mick Hornet, the slope appeared to make a huge advantage as Hornets couldnt make much ground playing up the slope in the first half and Haven struggled to cope with the slope in the second half. Apart from Howard Hills try Haven only got a breakaway try during the second period. For my money the gamebreaker was the blistering pace of Craig Calvert on the Haven wing who led us a merry dance.
I suspect that not many teams will even come away from Whitehaven with a bonus point so thats a plus for us.

RUGBY LEAGUE WITHOUT ROCHDALE HORNETS IS LIKE AN UNSHARPENED PENCIL, THERES NO POINT?
