Before wondering how bad Dewsbury were perhaps people should look at how Batley played ! The all round team performance of the Bulldogs simply snuffed out any chance that Dewsbury may have had on the day . I think it was a case of Batley being extremely efficient at what they did as opposed to how bad Dewsbury were .

although we won the game 28-0 the first 25 minutes drew a stalemate at 0-0. once the Rams went behind they obviously had to chase the game but with only one of the halves functioning anywhere near an acceptable level for the Rams they were always going to be struggling

it seemed to me that in the first 20 mins the dogs attacked more than normal down the left and Brambani was involved in a lot of tackling

Abosolutely spot on. Also to link with the comments from Calland regards' cheating', it's a simple 2 word answer
----GAME PLAN.
For the first time in a long time we have a coach that sets the GAME PLAN, a captain on the pitch that implements it, and players that follow the lead.

Must admit that before the game yesterday I was apprehensive, but boy what a performance, not just the result but the
BIG FAT ZERO.

RIP Laurie Grailey--- enjoy that one.

Well done everybody.

And when those on the pitch look into the stand and see those others sat there, then they know they have to deliver the game plan and perform 100% or else they are swapping places next week!

got to admit with all the rain we had i did think it would be a closer game as we seem to play some great rugby in better weather so was suprised at the way we ripped dewsbury apart from the start, far stronger and our pace will catch a few out this season along with the fitness too, some stonking rugby from our lads and we seemed to read everything spot on that was chipped over a bit same old from dews but to be fair brambini were trying all sorts but the chase was rubbish from 3 or 4 dews players and they should be sat in a dark room and made to see the lack of effort on dvd on every chase.if rest a players did 50% a what luke puts in you would be ok or even kegan hirst and i never rated him at all for his size but he will be bigger than dewsbury in next couple a years am sure. massive effort in defence from the dogs when dews did step it up for the odd run at us and like have said some great rugbyand bigs hits from the boys all accross the park, bring on flanny and our few injured lads back in the mix and some sunshine and am sure we will be even better still so lets hope the crowds swell a bit more as have not seen so much promise from a batley side for a number a years,
WELL DONE THE DOGS.
