Well after last weeks promising start against Gateshead we come up to our first proper test in our league campaign. Worky pushed Swinton hard last week and will be extremely tough to beat away from home by anyone in this league. This have made some very good signings (keeping hold of Stack and especially the signing of Mattinson who has to be up there with Clough as the best hooker in the league)
We still have injuries in the case of Gilly who looks like he will be out for a month after having surgery on his fractured eye socket and both M.Roden and St Hilaire are struggling with muscle injuries. However we have Lucas back after his two week ban which is superb news. My team for Sundays game would be
Heaton
Lucas
Wood
Bradbury
Brocklehurst
Roden
Diveney
Gilchrist
Clough
Sutton
Noone
Isherwood
Clarke
Bentley
Boults
Wood-Hulme
Whitmore

Should be a really tough game between 2 of the leagues top teams. And town v Oldham games are always tight between two bruising sides. Think town will nick it but you should be good enough for the bonus.good luck for the year and hope you bring up a good support

I'd agree with your selection.
As long as Lucas is fit i'd put him straight back in.This will be a benchmark match for the season so we'll know where we really are in terms of our ambitions. With any luck the lads will be able to have a hot shower as well!
Heaton
Lucas
Wood
Bradbury
Brocklehurst
Roden
Diveney
Gilchrist
Clough

Boults

Hi Brooksy
I have no arguement with your team. Having said that, if TB sticks by his guns, then Matt Fogarty should keep his place on the wing as he had a very good game. Workington as always will be a real test, especially on their own ground, so the result will give both teams a true view of what can be expected over the season.
I think it will depend on which Oldham "team" turns up on the day as to how close the game will be. I just hope they play the way they did against Hunslet Hawks in the Northern Rail.

Heaton, Fogarty, Wood, Bradbury, Brocklehurst, Onyango, N Roden, Diveney, Boults, Ellison, Whitmore, Clough, Gilchrist, Sutton, Isherwood, Noone, Clarke, Bentley.
Ellison comes in for Wood-Hulme, Whitmore for M.Roden and Lucas comes back onto the wing.

That's a huge loss if true, Heaton has been a revelation at full back, carrying the ball off our own line and backing up breaks(even if he hasn't scored yet). Brocky will do a good job at full back and it's probably his best position. Foggy and Lucas must be the wingers.
