Good old uncle Ray and his massive miss out passes, usually to the floor or into touch.

wasnt the carlisle match the one were a certain councilor did a streak??

I'm sure the game your thinking of was the final game of the 81/82 season at DP against Barrow. Tommy Bishop was in charge and we neede to win to get promoted back to the first division, there was a good crowd of over 5,000 to see us get the victory.

The stark naked 'certain councilor' came on in the second half joining the back line during an exciting passage of play, he popped up on Ray Wilkins shoulder on the 20m line and I'm sure if Ray had passed him the ball he would have been over the whitewash.

I wonder if he had scored that try, we might remember him for that, rather than some of his less than amusing escapades, if you know what I mean

What a great memory unicorn106. You are correct as I now recall. Was it him that did one at Old Trafford as well?
I remember when .............................

"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.
