Just been looking through the league fixtures for Championship 1 and I have noticed that our Easter programee will be a really tough time. We have Haven at home on Good Friday and then we are away to Keighley on Easter Monday. Two hard fixtures under any circumstances, however Keighley are not playing on Good Friday and will be fresh for our game. They should play Swinton but their match is scheduled for 7th August when there is no Championship 1 games programmed. Likewise Swinton are at Donny on Easter Monday nice and fresh.
Does anyone know a. why there is no Championship 1 games scheduled for 7th August (there is a full Championship programme) and b. why Keighley and Swinton are playing then instead of Good Friday. It certainly gives both of them an advantage!!!
Fixture format!

I remember when .............................
"It is impossible not to feel a twinge of sympathy for Workington Town, the fall guys this season for the Super League's determination to retain it's European dimesion, in the shape of Paris. While the French have had every assistance to survive, the importance of having a flagship in a heartland area like West Cumbria has been conveniently forgotten." - Dave hadfield - Independent 25th Augsut 1996.
