Ryan Tandy sacked by Bulldogs regarding the on-going enquiry into suspsicious betting activity in the Cowboys v Dogs game in R24 last season.
He's facing charges in connection with this and wouldn't talk to Bulldogs about the matter so they showed him the door last week.
His players' association rep has fired off about this as he sees Tandy as only sticking to his legal rights to stay silent.
Doggies reckon they have taken legal advice on this and have done nothing wrong.
Even though they were his employers it does seem strange that they have taken this path before the justice system has had its say.
After all this time why have they brought matters to a head now?

Tandy is suing. He's in the hands of the law men now. I hope his pockets are deep.

A few days ago Darren Lockyer annouced his retirement from playing the game will be at the end of this season.
Lockyer: 34 years old; 17 season in first grade RL; 4 premiership titles with Broncos;
336 NRL games for Brisbane;a record 54 Tests for Australia; 33 State of Origin matches for Queensland.
Touted as a coach in the future, surely Broncos wanting first pickies;Says he wants a complete break for a year
It'll seem strange not to see him on the pitch week in week out.

Hey up, old chatterbox Wayne Bennett, just three rounds into 2011 is believed to be leaving Dragons at the end of the season.
Taken together with Lockyer's retirement news, it's not taken more than a few minutes for the rumours to start that they'll get together at Broncos next season.

25 year old England international prop James Graham, St Helens, has hit the headlines here by signing a three year contract that will see him playing in the NRL for the next three seasons for Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
It's great that more of our top players are seeing the NRL as the place to aspire to. For me it's the one way to improve the competitiveness of the British game and specifically the fortunes of the England team.
Good move James.
What do you reckon?

English players expanding skills & techniques in the NRL is good.English RL coaches,(and possibly some back room staff as well) doing the same would be a great leveler.25 year old England international prop James Graham, St Helens, has hit the headlines here by signing a three year contract that will see him playing in the NRL for the next three seasons for Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

There's not that many English coaches about in SL to make the move down under
Huddersfield Nathan Brown Aus
St Helens Royce Simmons Aus
Warrington Tony Smith Australian (really)
Wigan Michael Maguire Aus
Cas Terry Matterson Aus
Leeds Brian McDermott England (Yorkshire)
Catalans Trent Robinson Aus
Hull Richard Agar England (Yorkshire)
Quins Rob Powell England (Yorkshire)
Bradford Mick Potter Aus
Hull KR Justin Morgan Aus
Salford Shaun McRae ... sort of coach Aus
Wakefield John Kear England (Yorkshire)
Crusaders Iestyn Harris (Welsh/ English born in Oldham Greater Manchester formerly Lancashire)
By the way can you see what order I've put them in?
Maybe that's why English coaches who struggle to get a club here would do well to experience the Aussie game - but I guess they wouldn't be offered a job

Sandow not going to Eels. After all that's been said in media, he may be staying at Souths. How can they afford him?

Well that was duff info!
Probably just a smokescreen laid down while the maximum amount of wonga was squeezed out of Eels.

Week running up to R13
Judiciary results:
Out: Trent Hodkinson (Dogs) two week suspension for his extra plunge on Steve Michaels. Hodkinson misses games against Manly (H) and Sharks (R15 H) Dogs have a bye in R14
In: Michael Ennis has been cleared to play - he put an early guilty plea in for high tackle on Prince.
Sharks' Ben Pomeroy is free to play similarly after his early guilty plea for throw on Dane Neilson - which I didn't see - no coverage of that game here.

The word was that Terry Campese would at long last be back playing for Raiders this weekend. But no - he's not ready.
