We have to start looking at some new players now though, 23 surely isn't enough to play the entire season.

Bit sad to hear about Walker.

We are seriously struggling in the halves at present and have relied far too much on Rats for a few years now. We desperately need to sign another halfback now.
That's three players left so hopefully we have free'd up a bit of budget to bring other players in. Think we need another centre/wing as well.

Rach's name has gone from the staff list on the official website. That's a shame, as I thought she was doing a decent job with the sponsors etc.

We must be looking for some new players with a squad of only twenty three one of which has to be a scrum half and we could do with another squad player who could fill in a variety of positions to prevent injury crisis such as the one we are in now.

Totally agree CC. I have been trying to e.mail the club @ Rachels e address for a week with no reply. Very unusual. Now I know why. Can any one help? I was wondering if the games are being recorded this year and DVD's made. Can't attend games anymore but would love to keep up with the team and willl be happy to pay each week for DVD. Can't ring the office at the mo for info.
thinks 1to1 dvd who have recorded a few games for the site sell the copies as dvd's check them out on you tube, but if they put all games on you tube might aswell just watch them there.
plus i dont know if there good enough value to buy
here is their you tube channel 1to1dvd

Please note I have no axe to grind about either of them, I know nothing of them.

It is intersting that Matty Ashe and Rachel Marsters are both leaving at the same time.
Please note I have no axe to grind about either of them, I know nothing of them.
Interesting how?

Why? They were a couple before they came to us and have presumably both decided to pack their rucksacks and go on their travels again, be it in this country or elsewhere, who knows.

Till you remember things are never gonna be the same again?
Ain't it crazy how you think you've got your whole life planned
Just to find that it was never ever in your hands?

Sorry I did not realise they wre travelling. Why? They were a couple before they came to us and have presumably both decided to pack their rucksacks and go on their travels again, be it in this country or elsewhere, who knows.
Just presumed Matty Ashe would sign somewhere else, just assumed RAchel Marsters could still stay at ORLFC

I agree with the above posts re the player shortage. Watching the Championship matches on Sky, crammed with ex Super League and dual reg players we're very very short on that depth of experience, intensity and know how. When you consider that one of our top performers last year (Joe Chandler) looked very quiet for Fax last week it shows up the gulf. Whilst it#s great and crucial to get all these Oldham boys in the team I really think we need more guile and knowledge. Dual reg players anyone?
