What another amazing performance by Sharks this weekend in their Round 3 away win victory over Panthers. This on the back of last week's wet weather win over Dragons.
Their confidence must be sky high. The Sharks today just took Panthers apart.
As one of the pre-season favourites for the wooden spoon they have made me and I guess many others reassess expectations for them in NRL 2011.
These have not been lucky edgy performances, they've been thoroughly deserved wins.
Well done Sharkies - you've done yourselves and your fans proud.
A few of us on here had you marked down to finish last. On the form you've shown at the start of this season you could well end up a top 8 team. What a turn around!

Cronulla played really well today. Albert Kelly looked very impressive. Let's hope there good form will encourage a few more to go to Toyota Park. I have a bit of a soft spot for the Sharks after seeing them last year while in Sydney.
What about the Panthers? They were awful. Not sure putting Timana Tahu straight in was a good idea - certainly not when he didn't appear to be up to speed on the new rule interpretations. I doubt Michael Jennings could play as bad again.

Panthers were dull and lacking in any bite. Matthew Elliot has his work cut out - is he up to it? Panthers were ordinary and never looked up for it. To cap it all there were injuries to the two Lukes, Walsh and Lewis. It never rains but it pours!

Having attended the Sharks v Dragons on the previous monday evening,in wet condtions, and the way the Sharks dominated with stiff defence and safe wet weather handling in attack, one thought OK, now for the real test on a dry pitch.
It was answered in spades, with the young halves dominating, added to the incisive running by Gardner the fullback, plus the continuous 2nd phase play by the forwards who offloaded at will.
The club, run on the smell of an oil rag,has shown it can compete with the best under any conditions.if they can knock over the Warriors,(interestingly enough the home game being played in NZ near Lake Taupo next Sunday),they will get close to a sellout (weather provided) at Shark Park Sat 9th April against the dreaded Manly.
Due to their financial situation, they need to keep this up throughout the year,to help ensure their long term survival.

Sharks were dominant and superb. They've shown they can perform magic footy on wet and dry surfaces just as you say.
Considering the uphill battle the club has just to keep going, these players and coaching staff can be proud, while Sharkies fans must be ecstatic!
Well done.
Next round: Warriors at home. Could be very tough. Warriors have got to come up with a win sometime soon.
On this form though Sharks should fear no-one.
